AVOID THE SAYING 'I'M SO STRESSED'

The moment you say it you will probably believe it.  Start to tell yourself you are relaxed and embracing the tasks in daily life as well as enjoying the challenge these tasks are offering you and learn to give back to yourself.  Even if it is enjoying a favourite song, strumming your guitar, ringing a friend or giggling at the movies. TURN DISTRESS INTO EUSTRESS (useful stress)...

MOVE....MOVE....AND THEN MOVE SOME MORE

You don't have to be locked into an expensive Gym Membership.  You could walk to the shops, climb stairs and give the elevator a miss.   If sitting at a desk for work get up regularly and move around.   Take your pooch out. Chase the kids with the ball.  Dance in your loungeroom.   Exercise doesn't have to be a stale routine, MOVE IN A FUN WAY...

CUT OUT THE JUNK - LESS JUNK = A SMALLER TRUNK!

Are you tired of being on the 'diet' treadmill? Throw out all those 'fad' books.  Fill your fridge with wholesome and preferably organic fruit and veg and enjoy wholesome snacks.   Look at the 'triggers' behind your food choices and work on them too, not just the 'diet'.  And remove that word 'diet' from your vocabulary.  It immediately conjures up feelings of failure in most.  Say instead 'I LOVE MY BODY AND I CHOOSE TO FEED IT WITH HEALTHY FUEL...'

Whether it's bad food, cigarettes, alcohol or any other addiction, if you are ready to quit make sure you have support around you and remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.  These things take time. ALLOW FOR GRADUAL PROGRESS...

ENJOY THINGS FOR TODAY

Do you 'save' things for that special occasion?  Do you save your best towels, use them now!  If you have a 'special' dinner set use it with family and friends (they are special).  Wear that lovely dress to go down to the shops.  LIVE FOR TODAY...

DRINK MORE WATER

Flush your system.  If you're feeling slow, make sure you have H20 TO GO!!!  

CREATE A VISION BOARD

Write all your dreams, goals and aspirations on your ‘vision board’, get a white board and draw pictures, get a cork board and pin things up. CREATIVELY VISUALISE YOUR LIFE...

SMILE AND LAUGH

And remember that EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY LIFE GETS BETTER AND BETTER...
